Juncos
After-School Alumni Program
Program Days and Hours: Our Juncos program meets every Tuesday, beginning August 29th and ending May 21st (with the exception of Tuesday October 31st, November 21st, December 19th and 26th, and March 26th), from 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm.
Locations: Classes will meet at Rocky Nook Park, the Mission Rose Garden, Oak Park, or somewhere nearby. During extremely inclement weather, we may meet indoors, location TBD. If roads are unsafe for driving, we will cancel.
Tuition: Tuition for the year is $1500. This includes all classes and materials. A $150 deposit holds a space for each child with payments of $150 due at the beginning on the 1st of the months September through May.
Ratios: We will be an intimate group with a maximum of 8 children and 1 teacher.
Objective: Our main objective is to continue to allow children unstructured time in nature, especially as many of them venture into more traditional school environments, and to nurture the beautiful relationships these friends developed during our preschool program. We will work to balance the relaxed free play all children need after a long day at school with some more elevated opportunities to intrigue friends of this age, such cooking with foraged items, making natural dyes, nature journaling, taking longer hikes, and exploring our creek systems. We will also regularly enjoy some seasonal, local produce.
For Enrollment: Enrollment requires payment of the deposit and completion of the liability form. Once all required items have been received, families will receive an email confirming their space within 48 hours.
